With our hardware support contracts, you can rest assured that the investment you have made in IT is protected beyond the return to base warranty’s that are offered by most manufacturers. These warranty’s are of little use to most businesses as the user is left with no PC to work with.
With our Hardware Support, in most cases we will fix the unit onsite within contracted times. In the unlikely event that the unit cannot be repaired we will replace it with a like for like unit or better.
In the event that the Hard Drive fails on the PC, under a manufacturer warranty this data would be lost as they are only interested in putting the machine back to how it was when they shipped it. In our world though we understand the consequences of this and we will do our absolute utmost to secure your data. In addition, if the hard drive or even PC has to be replaced we will reconfigure the machine back to how it was before the “crash” . Again, something that manufacturer warranty’s do not offer.
In the event of a server failure, hardware support is even more critical as server parts are costly and not always readily available. Hobb Computer Services Ltd will endeavor to carry stock of all critical parts for your server to ensure business continuity in the event of a failure. Should a drive or disk raid array fail then it is very likely that your server would have to be rebuilt from scratch with the operating system reloaded and the latest backup restored to the server. Whilst the hardware and labour time to repair the server would be covered, the time taken to get the server back to its previous state could be substantial.
